Banishers - Sorrow

A few years ago I had the opportunity to work on Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, it was a great experience from which I learned a lot.

I loved working on this design it was a lot of fun, I believe there are some substancial differences between these concepts and the final enemy in the game. We initially envisioned the Sorrow as a guardian for the void portals so we played a bit with different appearances for the portal depending on which side it was found. Also we had the idea of some kind of "web" connecting the totems to the Sorrow that would be composed of a mix of some kind of vines, bones and a spectral mist.

I had the pleasure to work with many incredible artists and people! Thanks to Geoffrey Soudant for his guidance and vision, who taught me so many things I didn't know I needed, and thanks to Basile Gouttenoire and Fantin Sailley for their amazing art and the inspiration.
